Community
CRMI reflects a community of practitioners, organizations and institutions involved in disaster risk management, adaptation to climate change and related subjects in the Caribbean. We invite you to further share your expertise and information with the wider regional community.
How can you contribute?
By disseminating best practices achieved by your organization. CRMI provides a platform for the promotion of best practices by hosting related documents and publications on this website and by distributing them in hard copy, whenever possible, at related events such as symposiums, workshops and conferences. Our objective is to make available pertinent and critical materials in the field to a wider audience. If you are developing or have published such documents, we welcome their submission and if necessary, will translate them for broader access. All documents submitted for hosting and/or translation must comply with the CRMI guidelines.
By sharing information sources. There are many on- and off-line information sources. We aim to maintain the website active and relevant. We appreciate your assistance in sending us information and/or links so that they can be featured on the Resources area of this website.
By reporting news and highlights on DRR and ACC. The News and Events sections intend to keep all practitioners informed about the latest developments and happenings in the region. We welcome press releases or media kits available to us.
Improving our ties
The CRMI website is working on strengthening links between ACC and DRR practitioners in the Caribbean. Future developments include an interactive platform for networking and discussion, which we believe will facilitate sharing, discourse and contacts among professionals in the region and abroad. Stay tuned.
